Activity Reported:  Built circa 1850, the family residing in the house has reported feeling several presences.  Visitors to the house have felt a heaviness in certain rooms, while some overnight guests have been physically touched.  One family member has heard the voice of a woman saying, "I'm lonely".  Objects have been known to move as well as sounds of footsteps and water mysteriously appearing in the middle of the floor.

 

 

Investigation Summation:  Along with the clients, we were honored to have Donna Reis, author of "Seeking Ghosts In The Warwick Valley", also present as an observer. After our initial walkthrough we began the investigation and immediately felt that there was a presence in the house.  Investigator Chris R. felt several cold spots in one of the upstairs bedrooms where the client has reported activity, although our e.  At 8:47 PM Investigator Mike M. felt someone touch his arm in the same room.  He was standing in front of a video camera at the time which recorded a faint orb moving towards his arm when he felt the touch (see video clip below).  Most of the activity seemed to be centered around this bedroom, the landing at the top of the stairs, and the large living room downstairs.  We captured several EVP's (see EVP's below)  in the area at the top of the stairs, which is an area that the client feels served as a younger children's bedroom in the past.  Another EVP of what sounds like a child were captured in the basement as well.  Investigators also sensed sadness in the house as if an adult were in mourning. We also sensed that there may be one or more children present.  Towards the end of the investigation we had some excitement when Mike M. couldn't find his car keys.  He searched his bag thoroughly for them but they were no where to be found.  For the next ten minutes we retraced our steps looking for them but couldn't find them.  We all began to feel that maybe something was playing with us, so Mike asked out loud that if someone took his keys to please put them back.  Immediately afterwards, he found his keys in a pocket of his bag that he had searched previously and they were definitely not there.

Note: Most researchers do not consider orb photos evidence of paranormal activity as airborne particles such as dust, pollen and moisture can cause "false positives".  While we agree that most "orbs" can be explained naturally, we have found in our research that a small percentage seem to correlate to paranormal activity.  Therefore, we will post orb photos that we feel may represent paranormal activity, although we can not prove beyond a shadow of a doubt that this is the case.

EVP's Captured

EVP 1 - Initially captured during our preliminary investigation, the client was giving us a tour of one of the rooms.  We were videotaping at the time, and when we played the tape back later we captured something quite unusual.  In this recording you can hear the client responding to a question asked him by saying, "No problem, no problem.  And that's why I never use this room."  Immediately after the first "no problem" you can hear what sounds like a woman sobbing quite loudly.  Everyone in the room was accounted for in the video and could not have made this sound. Another investigator was standing nearby with an analogue tape recorder running which also captured the sobbing.  
EVP 2 - During the above preliminary investigation we were in another room of the house while the client was explaining his experiences while we were recording with both audio and digital video.  On the audio portion we picked up this extraordinary EVP.  First you will hear what sounds like a young baby fussing, and then a woman's voice chimes in saying, "Be still".  Immediately afterwards another woman's voice can be heard saying, "Can you tell...?"
EVP 3 - Several times during a five-minute period Investigator Raul M. captured what sounds like a baby or young child crying.  This was recorded in the same area as the earlier "be still" at the top of the stairs.  The client tells us that he always felt that area was used as a child's bedroom, although he's not sure why.
EVP 4 - Another capture of the child crying just a minute later.
EVP 5 - While attempting to record EVP on the upstairs landing during the regular investigation, Mark J. heard what sounded like someone saying "shhhh".  A minute later he heard it again, only this time more loudly.  After confirming that no one else nearby made the shushing sound, he stopped and played back his recorded to discover that he had captured it.  The other voices heard in the background are the clients quietly talking. None of them made this sound either. 
EVP 6 - Mike H. recorded this in the basement of the residence.  While recording Mike asks, "I hear you're lonely," based off of what the one client heard the voice say in the past.  Immediately afterwards you can hear a child very clearly respond "Mmmm....yeah!".
