History: The Red Mill Museum is located in Clinton, NJ. The Mill has existed since the 1780's, and was expanded over the years to process grist, graphite, talc, limestone and other materials. The museum staff and guests have experienced a variety of paranormal activity including sighting apparitions, hearing disembodied voices and being touched by unseen hands. The activity is reported in both the Mill and the old Tennant House that is on the property.
In 2008 the TV show Ghost Hunters filmed and episode at The Red Mill and captured both EVP evidence as well as experiencing their clothing pulled.
Investigation Summation: NJPR conducted our investigation of the Red Mill and is the only paranormal research group other than TAPS to investigate the museum. Our researchers had numerous experiences during the investigation including hearing unexplained voices, knocks, and footsteps. One team member was touched by an unseen hand in the old 1850's School House on the property, and we also captured an apparition on our FLIR thermal imaging camera on the second floor of the Mill.
Before The Investigation
Investigation Photos Note: Most researchers do not consider orb photos evidence of paranormal activity as airborne particles such as dust, pollen and moisture can cause "false positives". While we agree that most "orbs" can be explained naturally, we have found in our research that a small percentage seem to correlate to paranormal activity. Therefore, we will post orb photos that we feel may represent paranormal activity, although we can not prove beyond a shadow of a doubt that this is the case.
