History:  The Red Mill Museum is located in Clinton, NJ.  The Mill has existed since the 1780's, and was expanded over the years to process grist, graphite, talc, limestone and other materials.  The museum staff and guests have experienced a variety of paranormal activity including sighting apparitions, hearing disembodied voices and being touched by unseen hands.  The activity is reported in both the Mill and the old Tennant House that is on the property.

In 2008 the TV show Ghost Hunters filmed and episode at The Red Mill and captured both EVP evidence as well as experiencing their clothing pulled.

Investigation Summation: NJPR conducted our investigation of the Red Mill  and is the only paranormal research group other than TAPS to investigate the museum.  Our researchers had numerous experiences during the investigation including hearing unexplained voices, knocks,  and footsteps.  One team member was touched by an unseen hand in the old 1850's School House on the property, and we also captured an apparition on our FLIR thermal imaging camera on the second floor of the Mill.

Orb outside the parking area (see our disclaimer below)

Several times throughout the evening investigators witnessed dark shadows darting up these stairwells.

Investigator Karrie gets goose bumps on the 4th floor.  It was a very hot day so this was not a reaction to cold.

Note: Most researchers do not consider orb photos evidence of paranormal activity as airborne particles such as dust, pollen and moisture can cause "false positives".  While we agree that most "orbs" can be explained naturally, we have found in our research that a small percentage seem to correlate to paranormal activity.  Therefore, we will post orb photos that we feel may represent paranormal activity, although we can not prove beyond a shadow of a doubt that this is the case.

Audio Evidence

"Damn you!" Child's Voice

While in the Tennant House, Investigator Chris says to any spirits present, "I can give you a horse."  This is followed by a disembodied voice saying, "Damn you."

On the fourth floor of the Mill a child's voice was recorded moaning three times in a row.

Voice Mumbling Loud Sigh

As Investigator Darren comments that he's not in any video for the investigation, an disembodied voice talks quietly in the background.

A loud sigh that was not any of our investigators was recorded in the Mill.

"Sorry" Laughter

Investigator Mark comments that he heard a noise.  This is followed by a female voice saying, "Sorry."

On the fourth floor of the Mill Investigator Karrie saw a black shadow dart across the stairway.  Immediately after she captured this EVP of a man laughing.

Loud Knocking  Whistle & Knock

Investigator Jane tries to get a response in the Old School House, and a loud knocking is heard on one of the desks.

Investigator Lauren asks if anyone can make a noise in the School House.  This is followed by a strange whistle and a knock.

Man's Voice Man's Voice 2

An unintelligible man's voice is recorded on the second floor of the Mill.

Out in the old Mine office Investigator Ellen closes the screen door.  This is immediately followed by a male voice saying something we can not make out.

"No"

A female voice is captured out in the school house.  The school house was empty when this was recorded.

A bright orb shoots across the Sewing Room on the third floor of the Mill.

Two odd anomalies drop down from the ceiling in the Sewing Room.  These have been determined not to be dust or insects.

A large orb races past three investigators in the Sewing Room.  Careful analysis has ruled out dust or insects.

An object falls with incredible speed from the ceiling of the Office building.

An apparition of what appears to be a young child is captured on the FLIR Thermal Imaging Camera standing in the doorway to the stairwell on the second floor of the Mill.

Investigator Greg's headlamp batteries appear to drain and recharge on their own.  The entire event was recorded on video.

While in the old School house the researchers experience something knocking on one of the desks.

A minute after the previous clip, another knock is heard, and then investigator Jane is touched on the back  by unseen hands.
