Investigation Summation: NJPR conducted a follow-up to our Previous Investigation from April.  As usual the Red Mill Museum did not disappoint us.  While the investigation appeared to be more quiet this time out with not as many personal experiences, investigators still encountered some paranormal activity.  Strange noises were heard out in the old 1850's School House, and several investigators witnessed what appeared to be a figure peering at them from around a corner on the third floor of the mill.  Later review of our evidence showed that the Mill grounds remained very active with numerous EVP's captured, and a photo of a partial apparition (see below).

The NJPR team arriving at the mill. Bright orb upstairs in the Tenant House.  This is possibly dust.

Rob sitting in the 3rd Floor Sewing room.  Many times throughout the investigation researchers would see what appeared to be a figure peeking at them from down the corridor over his left shoulder.  It seems that we may have captured this entity in the above photo.  (See the next photo to the right for a close-up version).

Cropped version of the preceding photo.  Notice what appears to be a partial apparition of a man's face to the left of the frame.  Facial features are clearly visible including eyes, nose, mouth and large mustache.  This anomaly did not appear in any similar photos of the area.

Large orb over Greg's shoulder in the school house.

Another large orb on Greg's shoulder in the mill.

There are two things going on in this picture - an unexplained shadow to the upper right and a light haze towards the bottom left.  The investigator who took this picture is certain that nothing was in front of the camera when she took this photo.

An orb next to the old stove in the School House.

Note: Most researchers do not consider orb photos evidence of paranormal activity as airborne particles such as dust, pollen and moisture can cause "false positives".  While we agree that most "orbs" can be explained naturally, we have found in our research that a small percentage seem to correlate to paranormal activity.  Therefore, we will post orb photos that we feel may represent paranormal activity, although we can not prove beyond a shadow of a doubt that this is the case.

Scream Get Out

While walking towards the Tenant House a scream is heard in the distance just before Mark begins to speak.

A man's voice is captured in the Mill saying "Get out!"

Woman Humming Breath

A woman's voice appears to hum in the background (the "foghorn" type sound is actually the mill's water wheel turning)

A loud sigh that was not any of our investigators was recorded in the Mill.

"Help me" Explosion

A woman's voice says, "Help me" out in the school house.  The other noises are geese outside.

On the fourth floor of the Mill a loud explosion is captured.  This sound was not heard at the time and was not picked up on other nearby recorders.  This could be a residual sound from the Mulligan Quarry on the Museum grounds when  they used to use dynamite to blast the limestone cliffs. (See video below)

"Here" "Greg"

In the Mill the team hears a voice.

While preparing to start the investigation a woman's voice is captured saying the name of one of our investigators.  We've confirmed that no one spoke at this time.

"Can you tell?" Knock

Alone in the Tenant House Mark asks out loud, "Is there anyone here who knows what lies beyond this life?  Can you tell me?"  After a long pause a voice comes over the radio saying, "Can you tell?"  We confirmed that none of our investigators spoke on the radio at this time.  While this is an open frequency where someone nearby could broadcast over our radios, we find it interesting that this voice appears to mimic Mark's question.

In the Tenant House Anthony asks if any entities could knock to announce their presence.  This if followed by a faint knock in the background.

Thud Grandpa

Mark asks if anyone can knock in the Tenant House, and a loud thud is heard just before the radio goes off.

In the school house Lauren is heard talking about some old photos when a strange voice says, "Grandpa!".  This was not heard by the team at the time.

Faint Voice

Laughter

A faint voice that did not belong to any of our investigators was captured on the mill's 3rd floor.

An unknown voice appears to laugh in the mill while investigators are quietly taking photos.

Strange fluttering orbs move through the school house.  It was too cold for insects and the orbs moved differently than dust orbs.

On the fourth floor of the Mill a loud explosion is captured.  This sound was not heard at the time and was not picked up on other nearby recorders.  This could be a residual sound from the Mulligan Quarry on the Museum grounds when  they used to use dynamite to blast the limestone cliffs.
