Undisclosed Business - Northern NJ
History: We have omitted the name and location of this business at the request of the clients. The building was originally built as a residence in the 1780's and served as a family home for many years before being converted into a business location. Historical research has revealed that a little girl was murdered in the building in 1788, although more detailed information has been difficult to find. The building has served as a variety of business over the years including an antique store, and in earlier times, a brothel.
Activity Reported: Both past and present owners of the building have claimed to have heard the voice of a little girl singing or crying upstairs, while employees as well as customers have seen the apparition of a little girl with a blue dress and a blue bow in her hair standing at the top of the stairs. Employees constantly feel cold spots even in the summer, and the owner has witnessed doors opening and closing on their own.
Investigation Summation: This was a follow-up to our Previous Investigation, and this location did not disappoint. All of our team members felt strong presences throughout the building unlike anything we have experienced before. Several times throughout the investigation we found that we could track energies as they moved throughout the building. Team members also experienced auditory phenomenon in the form of loud sighs, bangs, and even voices, all of which were also captured on audio. We were able to pick up on three distinct presences including a man, a woman, and possibly a child, as well as a fourth presence that was more elusive yet felt very peaceful. We also experienced cold spots that were more intense than what we have experienced in the past. This location has the honor of being one of the most active places NJPR has had the pleasure of investigating.
Photographic Evidence
Note: Most researchers do not consider orb photos evidence of paranormal activity as airborne particles such as dust, pollen and moisture can cause "false positives". While we agree that most "orbs" can be explained naturally, we have found in our research that a small percentage seem to correlate to paranormal activity. Therefore, we will post orb photos that we feel may represent paranormal activity, although we can not prove beyond a shadow of a doubt that this is the case.
