Activity Reported:  This two-story farm house was constructed in 1847 for the daughters of Elias Cole, the namesake of nearby Colesville, NJ.  The current residents have resided there for ten years and have witnessed numerous events.  Objects have gone missing only to reappear at a later date.  People have be heard whispering throughout the house when no one else is there, and several apparitions have been seen, including that of an older man, a young boy, and three women -- two of whom appear to be the Cole sisters themselves, while the third resembles a woman who passed away a few years ago.

 

Investigation Summation:  As with our Previous Investigation, our investigators did not experience a lot of activity during the investigation.  Early in the evening two investigators smelled a sharp perfume smell in the upstairs bedroom, and shortly afterwards the temperature of the room jumped up to an uncomfortable level for approximately three minutes before returning to normal (the client confirmed that the heat was not on). The rest of the evening appeared to be uneventful.  However, upon reviewing our evidence we found that we had captured several positive video clips and two EVP's (see below).

EVP's Captured

While recording audio in the dining room we captured two EVP's within just a few seconds of each other.  In the first EVP a woman's voice can be heard saying, "In the living room.", although part of her speech is interrupted by a slight cough from Investigator Mark J. who was standing nearby.

Five seconds after the above EVP was captured, the same woman's voice can be clearly heard saying, "Oh boys, boys boys.", followed by Investigator Mark J. saying, "Yeah" to another researcher.  Neither of these two voices were heard at the time of the recording.  It's interesting to note that the only people present at the time these recordings were captured was the client and her sister, and the investigators who all happened to be male, which seems to indicate that the spirit present was either amused or bewildered by our presence.

Video 8 - As Investigator Harder turns towards the camera, a streak of light appears behind him to the right of the doorway and arcs down the wall.  Examination of the video has ruled out that this is a lens flare as the movement of the orb does not match the investigator's movements. (Note: another streak of light appears to the left of the doorway, but this has been determined to be a lens flare.) - 12:36 PM - Chuck H.
