Activity Reported: The owners of this beautiful old home have lived in the house for less than a year, but they have already experienced a lot of activity. Footsteps have been heard on the third floor, as well as unexplained knockings. Sometimes voices are heard in different parts of the house. The clients have also smelled strong pipe tobacco in the first floor parlor, along with the unexplained smell of flowers up in the master bedroom. Young children have also apparently witnessed apparitions in the presence of adults, but the adults could not see anything at the time. Due to concerns of privacy, the exact location of the residence has been withheld at the request of the clients.
Investigation Summation: During the investigation our researchers encountered a number of unusual phenomenon. Using dowsing rods down in the basement, one researcher located an area of high energy. Several orbs were captured on video in this area, as well as a cold spot that formed in this area along with a brief cold breeze that lasted for ten seconds. Extensive research of the surrounding structure showed that there was no place for a breeze to enter the basement. Researchers also experienced unusual activity in the third floor turret room. Loud bangs and unexplained clinking sounds could be heard in this area with no explanation. Two EVP's of a male speaking were also recorded in this room.

These clock weights were later
discovered to be responsible for creating a clinking sound heard
several times throughout the investigation. However, all
attempts to recreate the weights striking together naturally were
unsuccessful. Someone had to physically tap one weight against
the other to reproduce the sound (See EVP section below).

What sounds like a man laughing was captured on the
stairs leading to the second floor. This was captured on both digital
audio and
video
recorders.

Throughout the investigation researchers kept hearing what sounded like glasses clinking together in the third floor turret room. This sound was eventually captured by two different researchers in the same location, the first by researcher Gretchen and the second by researcher Mark. During a follow-up investigation it was determined that the noise was emanating from a cuckoo clock that was lying on the floor, and when the two pinecone metal weights were tapped together they created the same sound (see comparison photo). However, the only way to recreate the sound was to physically pick up one weight and bang it against the other. All attempts to recreate the sound by walking nearby or causing vibrations on the floor were unsuccessful, and rolling them into one another failed to produce any sound as sharp and clear as what was recorded.
